Readings:

John chapter 12 verses 9 - 11 (New Living Translation)

9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.

John chapter 12 verses 17-19 (New Living Translation)

17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

Prayer & Reflection

God, thank you that You are so real and You are so loving. I pray that we see more and more of You in our daily lives; that we learn to appreciate the evidence, that we appreciate You and move more alongside You.

Give us the strength to see Your face in our daily lives.

Amen

Questions to Consider

1. Can you think of examples of times you’ve ignored evidence of God in your life in the past? What were they?
2. Are you going to decide to bury the evidence or look up, seeing more of God in your life? What would this look like?
3. What little things can you do to start to appreciate God more in the day-to-day?
4. What are you going to put in place to stop your head getting swamped by the daily so you can look up and see more of the beauty?
