Three Special Sundays

Regular EBC folks will know that we normally run our services based on a themed series – three, four or sometimes five weeks long. This helps us to really explore a particular topic and consider it in depth and from numerous angles.
Before we get into our Christmas series however, we are going to have three special Sundays which stand alone.
The first of these is Remembrance Sunday, which this year actually falls on Armistice Day (11th November). We will be inviting everyone to come along at 10.15 and share in this very important service of Remembrance, where we will observe two minutes silence and offer people the opportunity to pray, reflect and remember.

The following Sunday, November 18th, is our annual “Shoebox Sunday” at which we support Operation Christmas Child, the wonderful scheme run by the charity Samaritan’s Purse. At Shoebox Sunday, we assemble shoeboxes and fill them with a selection of gifts for boys and girls in impoverished countries around the world. Please come with suitable toys and, if you’re able, a donation to cover the cost of sending the boxes (suggested at £5). For more information including suitable and unsuitable items to pack, please click this link: https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox/

Finally, on Sunday November 24th we are having a special one-off service which will bring all our congregations together to pray and thank God for all that’s been going on at EBC in the last year or so, enjoy a wide range of all-age activities together  and to take a prayerful pause before all the busy-ness of Christmas! Please take all opportunities to invite people you know and to encourage everyone to come along and join in. From Premix and Messy Church to Midday Munch and Songs of Praise, and all ages in-between, let’s get together for a Sunday morning of praise, worship and fun!
In fact, we want as many people as possible to take part in all of these three special services. They will be very different from each other – and from our regular services – but each will reflect something of what we believe as a church family. Please come as we sing, laugh and probably cry together. This being EBC, there will likely be some eating involved too…..

See you on Sunday!

I am New

Welcome from all of us at Easthampstead Baptist Church!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. As you explore our website, we hope that you catch a broader glimpse of what EBC is all about. It's about people - people just like you - who want to embark on a journey to discover more of God and his will for our lives.

What should I expect on a Sunday Morning?

Sometimes going to a church for the first time can be a little daunting. I promise we won't bite! To help ease any uncertainties below are the answers to some common questions people have before attending a Sunday morning.

What do I have to wear?
We are a 'come as you are' sort of people and have no formal dress-code for our Sunday services.
We can assure you that we don't have bouncers on the door vetting your attire!
If you are still not sure, feel free to check out our services on YouTube to have an idea.

What time do I need to be there?
At the moment we have one Sunday morning service which starts at 10.00am.

On the 4th Sunday of the month we run our All-sorts service which starts at 10:00am.

Check out our other services below!

We would recommend you turn up 10 minutes before the service starts so you have a chance to say hi!
If you have children that need signing in to the children and youth work, they need to be signed in from 9:50am.

Parking
There is plenty of parking both out the front and at the back of the building. Just follow the signs!

How safe is my child in your care?
We run separate children and youth work during our 10:00am service, which is run by a group of volunteers who have all been DBS checked.

Children ages 11 and under must be signed in and out by their parent/carer. The youth can sign themselves in and out.
