We have had some wonderful 'thank yous' in the office this week. Particularly from those who have been on the receiving end of some of the stuff we do to help those who could do with a bit of support.
We don't do it for the thank yous, but it is lovely when we get them, especially as we can see how it has impacted people.
Here is a thank you we received from Samaritan's Purse who run Operation Christmas Child for whom we made up over 200 shoeboxes full of goodies for children at our last Action Sunday.
"On behalf of Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child and our team in Maidenhead I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this year's shoebox campaign.
This year 7251 gift-filled shoeboxes have been sent out from the Maidenhead Processing Centre, a 10% increase on last year's total. We are delighted with this result, which reflects the hard work from all involved in this year's campaign. The shoeboxes are now on their way to be distributed to needy children in Zambia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Albania.
My sincere thanks go to all those who brought their boxes to our processing centre in Maidenhead, or who took them to our other drop-off points, or who contributed to a collection from schools, churches and companies in the local area. Your efforts and generosity mean that 7251 underprivileged girls and boys will receive these shoebox gifts bearing the message of God's love this Christmas.
I would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year and I hope we can look forward to your support for our OCC campaign in 2016.

Can I say thank you to all of you at EBC who help us do these kinds of things...it really does make a difference to people.
