Our Leadership Team

Chris Porter

Chris Porter is the Senior Minister and he chairs this Team. Chris came to EBC in September 1998 as our Student Minister. He trained at Spurgeon's College in London from September 1998 to June 2001. He then became our Assistant Minister. In February 2008 he was called by the church to become our Senior Minister. Chris also leads our 'Cinema and Curry Cluster'. Before coming to EBC, Chris was a Management Consultant and travelled all over the world. He and his wife lived in the USA for a year as part of his career. Chris is married to Ruth and has two children - Emily and Jessica.

Steph Littlejohn

Steph Littlejohn is our Assistant Minister. Steph has been a part of EBC for more years than she cares to remember and started working for the church as a Pastoral Assistant. Steph is one of our Elders and has just taken on responsibility for overseeing small groups and pastoral care at EBC. At home, Steph has a passion for gardening. She is married to Don and has two grown up sons - Lewis and Liam. As well as working at EBC, Steph also works as a teacher for children under 5 who have special needs.

Eileen Charlton

Eileen has also been a part of EBC for many years. Eileen also works as our Church Administrator overseeing all the administrative aspects of the life of EBC. She also runs our lettings  and oversees our caretakers and all the work that goes into letting our building to external organisations. She runs her own catering business. Eileen is married to Neil and has three grown up children and lots of grandchildren!

Barbara Briggs

Barbara has been a part of EBC for the last eight years. She is well estabiished within the local community through her involvement in lots of different community organisations. At EBC she leads our LONE group for Single Parents, she also leads one of our small groups and is part of our team at the Refresh coffee shop. Barbara has a grown up son.

Karen Bugg

Karen has been at EBC for the last four years. She is involved at EBC with our music team and leads services on some Sundays. She also leads one of our small groups. She is married to Matt and has two young daughters Emily and Alice. She also loves giraffes!

Rob Lea

Rob has also been at EBC for many years. He took early retirement a few years ago having been a Senior Manager with ICI. As well as being on our Leadership Team, Rob is also our Church Treasurer and a part of our Elders Team. He is on our preaching team and is often seen conducting interviews at our Songs of Praise service. Rob has two grown up chlidren and three grandchildren.

Malcolm Mack

Malcolm has been at EBC for three years. He is looks after all our computers and networks at our church office and is very popular because of it! He often helps with our Storehouse ministry taking furniture to people who are in need. He is married to Margaret and has two grown up children.

 Janet Roe

                                       Janet has been at EBC for many years. She and her husband Peter have served in the church in many different roles for a long time. She works at a Christian bookshop at Holme Grange. At EBC she is involved with our music team and runs our Prayer chain. She also leads one of our small groups. At home, Janet loves knitting. Janet is married to Peter and has three grown up children and several grandchildren.

Peter Roe

Peter has been at EBC since he was a child. He and his wife Janet have served in the church in all sorts of different ways over the years. He works for the Transport Research Laboratory in Crowthorne and is a world expert on road surfaces. At EBC he leads one of our bands and is often found leading services and he is also one of our Elders and preaches. He loves anything to do with railways. He is married to Janet and has three grown up children and several grandchidlren.
